Dale Sheppard has approximately 25 years professional and personal experience in the disability health profession. Graduating with the Head of School Award during a Bachelor of Applied Science – Disability Studies majoring in Human Movement and Minoring in Psychology. He has also completed Nationally recognized studies in Occupational Health and Safety, Workplace Assessment and Training, and Social Science and Planning.

It is with this academic background and living with a disability (Quadriplegia) that enables Dale to provide a holistic approach to compliance with current legislation as well as a focus on inclusion and accessibility for people with disability.

Dale has successfully completed the Accredited Access Consultants Accreditation Exam.

Dale has had an active role as an Accredited Member of the Association of Consultants in Access Australia (ACAA) since 2004 and has been practicing as an Accredited Access Consultant since that time.

Dale holds leadership positions on numerous State and Local Government Committees and is known for his strategic project management style and practical application of stipulated requirements. One such appointment was a Board Director of CBM Australia – A disability inclusive development charity responsible for delivering a portion of the Australian Government aid budget and working with developing countries to be inclusive and accessible the people with disability.

Dale formed Access Solutions National P/L (ASN) in 2004 and subsequently was contracted to be the lead access consultant in the Pacific School games 2005. This was the beginning of many industries recognising Dales unique perspective of and in-­depth disability knowledge coupled with a building design & compliance knowledge.

Since the formation of ASN Dale has been the principle Disability Access Consultant for a number of large corporate organisations, such as, Qantas Airways Limited, Fed Square and many of Victorias Local Governments.

Further to this Dale has established a number of disability access type businesses, such as, Luminos Consulting (Luminance Contrast Testing), Access Xpress (Wheelchair accessible gym), The Realistic RACE (Disability Awareness Training), Disability Standards (Online Resource of Disability Standards Factsheets) and a few more smaller ones.

Dale is always keen to assist with projects that increase the inclusion and accessibility of opportunities for people with disability.
